The UATC Action Plan in Advancing the Ratification of the OPCAT

 

Lobby and Advocacy engaging the executive departments, senate,   congress, and the local government;
   
Forging partnerships with the Commission on Human Rights, human rights institutions and organizations;
   
Production and dissemination of information, education, and campaign materials;
   
Utilizing letter dates for activities as campaign vehicles to promote the OPCAT;
   
Media actions through press fora and conferences;
   
International lobby to mobilize the international community to urge the Philippine government to ratify the OPCAT.

 

In addition to these collective efforts of the UATC, member organizations are also pursuing the ratification of the OPCAT by incorporating its promotion in their respective advocacy and lobby work. The OPCAT is provided space and time in engagements with the senate, congress, local government or the departments.
